Timesheet recording is an integral part of project management. Claromentis is just developing the timesheet component of our own project manager solution and so information on what is important would be very welcome. Our feedback from customers is that the following are important :
Timesheets should be fully integrated
However we are interested if any users have found a timesheet application that can be strongly integrated with a web based project management solution.
Auto populate projects and tasks
Select fields for the timesheets should auto populate to ensure accuracy in reporting.
Record time by Work Breakdown structure
Record non project time and or non task time
The timesheet application should be able to record time spent outside the project. It should be possible to categorize time as internal or billable and there should be appropriate charge out and internal cost rates.
Timesheet data automatically populates to Executive Dashboards (actuals and costs)
Export data to Excel
